becos it doesn't have long blond hair?

but it looks more feminine with its broad hips and pouty lips... :P
I vote it a mermaid!!!

these chats on mermaid and merman are slightly bizarre.. ehehe...

a little trivia: Dugong is a derivative of the Malay word "duyung" which means "lady of the sea", and its other local names include sea cow, sea pig, sea camel, etc.

huil: the Jap Acquarium had very good presentation, i.e. just enough showcase on each floor to whet your appetite for the next floor. heh. but singapore definitely wins in terms of variety and interaction with the sea creatures.. heh!

will post pictures of Japan soon...

I want to swim with them... how about death by dismemberment by 14 species of sharks????

ahaha.. don't they used to always say that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder? :)

we were in the round 'travellater-like' tunnel of sea creatures showcase and we were in this portion where all the sharks congregated.. and i mean all 7 - 8 of them adult sharks, nurse sharks, black-tipped sharks, whatever. and it was scary. hah. to think the kids who are exposed to sharks in such conditions would take them as friends..
